This is the second of two classes I'm teaching at Art Unraveled this coming August. Pochade sketching is creative and easy to learn. Let me show you how you can add these sketches to your journals, collage pieces or any art creative piece. Bring along your photo's and pictures, but I'll have many. Learn to quickly sketch something you like and repeat it in your work when it suits the piece. Add to your travel journals, which I love to maintain as a memory for where I've been and the time I spent with family and friends. Where I create...
- My studio sits in the my second bedroom on the main floor of my Cape Cod home. I've added shelving, old cabinets and a wood drafting table from a garage sale that I love. Inspiration is all around me, especially two windows, one leading to my back yard, wonderfully open and free for my cat Stella to see the squirrels. I also have a full workshop in my basement. My students love the convenience of taking classes each month and the room it provides for creativity. It's wonderful creating where you live. Everyone should have a place for this in their home. Leave it up, leave it messy, go to it when you need to create and move within your artistic soul.
